Privacy Policy
Updated:
This website is deliberately simple: it uses no cookies, no analytics, and does not store your messages. Here is what happens to your data when you write to us.
Who is responsible
The Foreign Corner, a community founded and run by Shely Palomino (Murcia, Spain). For any privacy question you can use the contact form.
What data we process and why
Only what you type into the contact form: name, email, subject, message and, if you choose one, the activity you are asking about. We use it solely to reply to your enquiry.
Legal basis
Your consent, given by ticking the box before sending (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
How sending works
- You submit the form.
- The server checks the data is valid and not spam.
- An email is sent to the person who runs the community.
- The server discards the data. There is no database and no copy on the website.
The message is kept only in the mailbox of whoever replies to you, for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and no longer than 12 months; after that it is deleted.
To prevent abuse, the server temporarily remembers the IP address the form was sent from, in memory only and for a maximum of 24 hours. It is never written to disk or used for anything else.
Who it is shared with
Nobody, for commercial purposes. Only essential technical providers are involved:
- Server hosting where the website runs.
- Email service that delivers and receives the message. The destination mailbox is on Gmail (Google), which may process data outside the European Economic Area under the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing through the contact form. If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools, which is why you won’t see a cookie banner. Links to Instagram take you to that platform, which has its own privacy policy.
Changes
If we change anything important, we will update this page and its date.
